Made In America Festival Lineup

The Made In America Festival just released it's official lineup of artists that includes Jay-Z, Skrillex, Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill, Pearl Jam, Drake, Run DMC, Odd Future, and many more!
This two-day event sound like its going to be an event to remember, sure wish I had some tickets!

Anatomically Correct Chairs

I always love any 3-D art and I think these chairs mastered a unique artistic twist that combined Victorian furniture design with human skeletons.
Not for your everyday dining room, however I have an idea that that's exactly what designer Sam Edkins was expecting! Better save up though, each chair costs a little over $730!

Jay-Z and Beyonce 400k Vacation

Don't think you've blown the bank on vacation until you get a checkout bill like this: Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce just dropped $400,000 to rent this 31,000 square foot mansion in Bridgehampton for a month!
The home, nicknamed the 'Sand Castle,' comes with not only exceptional, expensive decor throughout but also a two lane bowling alley, a skateboard half-pipe, a recording studio, a rock climbing wall, a heated pool with an underwater stereo system, a rock climbing wall, a tennis court, a spa, a basketball court with moving walls, a children's performing area, an eight car garage and a 2,800 foot master bedroom!
Damn. I guess when you've been everywhere in the world all you want to do is find a nice, quiet place to relax when you're actually on 'vacation.' Wish he'd invite us over one night to freestyle...

I admit I am somewhat of a John Mayer fan (depending of the track) and I think this music video is really unique and creative. I love the feel of the song and the continuous shots the camera captured. I also am a sucker for anything behind the scenes so I think its cool to see the camera pan out at the end and see all the people on set working, Must have been a fun shoot to be a part of!

Lethem (also known as KEO and SCOTCH 79) is a Brooklyn-born graffiti writer, designer, MC, and raconteur whose stories go much deeper than his time spent with the Villain."
I find it intriguing that MF DOOM can sit at the bar where his show is at and no one knows who he is; then he puts on his mask to conceal his identity and transforms into a rapper that everyone loves...sort of like Batman.

Chuck E. Cheese is a chain of over 500 restaurants aimed towards kids. They offer pizza, a salad bar, arcade machines, rides, and live entertainment provided by large life-like animatronic robots. In fact, Chuck E. was a big part of my own childhood...I would go there for birthday parties and weekend getaways all the time.
Since 1977 the chain has had the same Chuck E. mouse represent their brand. This past year they have been going through a rough patch and they are looking to boost sales. What better way to boost revenue than to rebrand their mascot!

I received this email (below) claiming that our blog could receive more hits if we decided to contact them immediately.
When I copied and pasted the phony website into my address bar it lead me to this website (below).
At first I thought it was legitimate. But with further exploration I discovered all the links were not actually links and clicking any image in the slideshow would redirect me right back to the homepage.
So please...DO NOT email them back to, "Send additional information," so they can get, "all the details needed to make it happen."

P.S. Logo designers, notice they included the most familiar internet/network icons towards the top of the page so the viewer would subconsciously identify with at least one of them immediately. Also, check out the wacky butterfly logo that suggests forward progression (like the new Twitter bird).
Lesson of the day, do not always trust a design.

The Dark Knight Rises [Movie]

I highly recommend seeing The Dark Knight Rises in theaters now! In my opinion, it is the best of the Christopher Nolan series. On another note, our hearts go out to the victims of the Aurora community.
Via Christopher Nolan, "Speaking on behalf of the cast and crew of 'The Dark Knight Rises,' I would like to express our profound sorrow at the senseless tragedy that has befallen the entire Aurora community. I would not presume to know anything about the victims of the shooting but that they were there last night to watch a movie. I believe movies are one of the great American art forms and the shared experience of watching a story unfold on screen is an important and joyful pastime. The movie theatre is my home, and the idea that someone would violate that innocent and hopeful place in such an unbearably savage way is devastating to me. Nothing any of us can say could ever adequately express our feelings for the innocent victims of this appalling crime, but our thoughts are with them and their families."
