Sluggo Chalk Art

via. likecool

Yeah, yeah, I admit it. I have a soft spot for art in unexpected places, no matter how juvenile it may be. Looking at this chalk art its hard not to smile. #dope

An Interview with Freddie Gibbs

Freddie Gibbs has been around for a while, but somehow he's a name that's new for a lot of people. His latest project, Baby Face Killa, recently hit #10 on iTunes and with that he's back on the map!

In this interview he talks about working with Young Jeezy in the studio and talks about why his music is so relatable. Interesting stuff. I was sold the minute I saw him rolling a blunt mid-interview. My kind of guy.

Kid Cudi Previews "King Wizard"

Oh snap, time for another sneak preview of one of our favorite artists in the game. This song, "King Wizard" is off Cudi's upcoming album Indicud. Sounding like some new age sh*t with more of that top 40 feel again, the one we've been missing from Cudi in recent months.

I think it's a dope song preview and I like how he keeps it real by just flipping on the MacBook camera and hitting record. No egos. No gold chains. No watches. Just a real guy working hard on his music. Reminds me of myself.

Behind the Back Pass

This behind the back pass during an intramural football game at Purdue University seems almost too good to be true. The quarterback spins clockwise like a reverse discuss throw and zings the ball 30 yards downfield.

What do you think? Is this real or fake? Comment!

My Thoughts: Quantity Over Quality

It's difficult to do quality work with short deadlines.

Sometimes I question my college assignments. Would you rather have me whip up a bunch of projects in a short amount of time, seriously decreasing the quality of the final product? Or give me less assignments, but a longer span to complete them so I have time to conceptualize and work towards better quality?

I hate the current system...it's quantity over quality and it's detrimental to learning.

3D Art Design

via. LikeCool

I'm not saying that i'd get this exact picture, but holy sh%t this is trippy. Why not incorporation more art into our living environments? Talk about a "wow factor, cool stuff.

Lil Reese and Waka Flocka

Check out this clip of Lil Reese & Waka Flocka and some of their squad in the studio. No real purpose to these kind of videos other than promotion and I just think its cool to see any artist in their element.

A studio is like a second home to any rapper and obviously Flocka rolls everywhere mob deep, like 50 people in one studio! #nolie
If you ask me, that many people in the studio would be annoying, worth a look though:

Via: Fab

Artist John Keddie creates these ironic, sometimes (a tad) racist illustrated photographs. With a little manipulation John transforms the identity and twists the meaning of some famous public figures.

I think anyone can relate to at least one of his pieces of art.

These are my favorite:

C'mon Man! Michael Freimuth vs Mike Waxx

Via: Quipsologies

It has come to our attention that Big Sean's recent mixtape art designed by IllRoots designer/owner Mike Waxx "borrowed" (more like copy and pasted) an illustration done by artist Michael Freimuth which was made back in 2009.

I smell a lawsuit...

UPDATE:

After Michael Freimuth found out about the plagiarism, he posted these tweets and changed his avi to mimic Big Sean's "Finally Famous" album. Haha...uh oh...the battle has begun.
