NEW: WZRD by Kid Cudi & Dot Da Genius [Album]

Today marks the release date of Kid Cudi & Dot Da Genius' new album WZRD. I haven't had the chance to listen to it yet but the people at Complex wrote a complete online cover story HERE.

Via Complex, "WZRD was no big-budget studio affair—they recorded most of the album on the road in a tour bus, or in Cudi’s basement studio in the Hills."

I'm excited to hear what the album sounds like...

Check out WZRD's Love Hard below. What do you think?

Nugged Up!

@Anthony_Lazzaro took this picture of a girl showing off her friend's Nugged Up look. She's got that, "Shoot, ya I'm Nugged, whatchu gonna do?" look on her face.

1938 Beatboxer

Check out this video of the "World's First Beatboxing Champion" (which I have a hard time believing) from 1938. This video is taken from the British Pathe newsreel "The Radio Revellers" and is a song called There's A Tavern In The Town.

Listen to the man making the trumpet sound towards the end of the clip...Did you know Master G can do a mean trumpet impersonation also?

The Bookmark of the Future

Via Vimeo, "The Albatros is new kind of bookmark that follows your reading. No need to remember the page number, each time you turn one, it inserts itself at the right place."

Amazing! What else can we invent to make life easier (or should I say lazier)?

Jeremy Evans' Dunks in Super Slow Motion

The NBA caught this year’s 2012 Slam Dunk Contest on Phantom HD cameras. The outcome is a series of super slow motion videos of the winning dunks. Here above you see the winning dunk by Jeremy Evans.

Pretty weak dunks overall this year compared to previous years...but I must say these camera shots are bad ass!

Chick Beer

Check out the new beer that is literally sweeping the nation in sales.

Chick Beer (creative, right?) is a  new "premium light" beer brewed just with girls in mind, "We are proud to introduce Chick Beer, the only American beer that is created just for women. Chick Beer is a craft-brewed light beer that doesn't taste like a light beer.  The flavor is soft, smooth, and full-bodied.  Yet Chick Beer magically has just 97 calories and 3.5 carbs.

What do you think ladies? Do you like this concept? Personally, I think the package design could use a little help.

NEW: "Sorry For Party Rocking" by LMFAO [Music Video]

Check out LMFAO's newest visual for their song Sorry For Party Rocking. The music video (which is damn near a short movie) is about a crazy party that happens in a fictional city. Cameos by David Hasselhoff and Christopher "Kid" Reid from Kid 'n Play.

I love the creative direction, stage setting, props, and characters the directors used. I want to make a visual like this!

PARTY ON!

Quote of the Day

"Try not to compare yourself to others. Realize that someone else out there is comparing themself to you. You will accomplish your goals with hard word and dedication. Comparing yourself to someone else will just stunt your progress. Instead, pinpoint your weaknesses and stay focused on your goals." - Mr.Matt

My Thoughts: Is Having A Period Really An Excuse?

Okay ladies I’m ready for you! Bring on the best reasoning you’ve got! Bring on the most logic explanations you can think of! We [men] want to know once and for all if your "week of hell" once a month is really as bad as you say it is...

I can already imagine the angry comments from women that are already beginning to form as you read this! I apologize. I’m not trying to sound like a douche at all. I’m being serious and curious.

I will start out by saying I empathize, without question, 100% with all the girls that complain about the physical difficulties that come with being on your period. I can’t imagine the pain from cramps and other physical side effects you get from this, so I’m not trying to call you out there.

I am more concerned with the physiological side of this phenomenon. I admit I have challenged girls multiple times that have used this as an excuse to act irrational and take out anger/frustration on me. I understand your body feels like shit. The closest thing I can compare this with is being sick myself. Or perhaps the feeling of absolute soreness and lack of energy that comes after a playing a big sports game (only 24/7 for a few days straight). I try and understand that. But does that really carry on into your mindset and change your actions? Do you really lose all control and sense of rationality and patience? I understand hormones play a role in this, but is it really just all mental (just like how placebo drugs cure illnesses)? I’ve seen girls completely change personalities almost at a bi-polar level, just because it’s that time of the month.

I can’t help but feel like some of these actions are more along the lines of self-pity, rather than genuine cases of loss of control. When I’m sitting on the couch getting screamed at for no reason it’s hard for me to stop and say, “This isn’t you talking babe, it’s your period! Don’t worry that you broke my Xbox in your rage. Don't worry that you called me a worthless piece of self-centered DICK infested shit! I’ll overlook it because you were on your period!" (Cue sarcasm).

Come on.

Obviously I am exaggerating but my point is made. Ladies please be honest with us once and for all! Are these mood swings really uncontrollable? Or are you just tired and cranky and using your period as an excuse to be a b#tch? Let us know the truth!

Check out Odd Future's newest visual for their song Rella off of OFWGKTA's upcoming album The OF Tape Vol. 2 dropping March 20th. Very interesting wacked-out sense of humor...reminds me a little of some of Eminem's old music videos. The video is directed by Wolf Haley (aka Tyler, the Creator).

Tyler does everything! Produces, directs, designs, and raps...truly a young renaissance man.

Nugged Up!

Another day, another Nugg.

Vince took this picture quickly and quietly of a girl (yes, that's a girl) Nugged Up around a group of speakers. Could that be another girl Nugged Up in front of her? Possibly! Two for one Vince? Smooth.

My Thoughts: Do You Act Different When You’re Single?

Okay this is an issue that is long overdue in my eyes. There is nothing I hate more than friends of mine that have completely different personalities depending on their relationship status.

Here’s the way I look at it, a relationship, especially at our age, shouldn’t change a persons’ personality one bit. Any good relationship is based off of absolute trust and communication. As long as you are upfront and honest with your partner you should be allowed and encouraged to maintain your independence within the relationship. If you love to go out to clubs, drink with friends, smoke weed and hang out with members of the opposite sex you shouldn't stop simply because you now have a girlfriend/boyfriend. In fact, I would argue that couples that get in a routine of not going out separately, over time, are more likely to build up feelings of frustration and resentment towards each other.

Think about it, even married couples need their time apart. It is not because you dislike the other person or because you’re trying to be disloyal or exclude them from your life, but if you hang out with a person every single minute of every single day you are bound to get fed up with each other.

So why attempt to control your partner and suppress their true personality? Why not trust them and respect their time spent with people other than you? I find I am so much happier when I feel like no one is telling me what to do. I believe that people that act differently when they are single do it because when they are in relationships they feel so held back that when they are single again they then feel the need go wild and let loose.
Do you do this? Be honest. Why? I have never been a person that falls into this trap. I am friends with, and text, and talk to girls whether I am single or not. I talk about, rap about, and blog about sexual, controversial topics whether I am single or not. I make music videos with girls other than my girlfriend dancing with me whether I’m single or not. I always stay true to myself. The only thing that changes when I get a girlfriend is I cut off all communication with any other girl(s) I am hooking up with at the time. However, by time I am official with a girl I have usually already stopped talking to my other hookups on my own, so this even isn’t an issue.

I don’t believe I should have to change many things in my life just because I’m not single. I should still be fun, crazy Master G! Relationships should simply attach and add on to your life, they shouldn’t take it over. I believe this with my heart.

Find someone that likes you for you, no matter how imperfect you are. That's a relationship worth having.

Stay true to yourself and you will be happy.

Jealous Monkey Attacks Man

This is at the cafe inside the Memphis Zoo. The manager of the cafe told this guy the alpha male monkey noticed him the second he walked in the door and started going crazy, because, as the alpha male, he feels threatened by other tall males. So she told him to go stand by the window and turn his back on the monkey to see what happened….
Think of this monkey in the wild, you're just walking down your path and without warning this guy swings out of the tree in front of you....

Did I mention she's only 19. That's right....she was born in 1992...wow.

Opinion: The Case for Unpaid Internships

Via: Idsgn

Are unpaid internships evil, or is education payment enough? Thomas Wilder reflects on his past experience as an unpaid intern at a New York design firm,

"An internship is not a job...it is a form of education. A company has agreed to give an individual free knowledge about their prospective professional industry. [It's] an opportunity to learn practical information free of cost....An employer or firm chooses to provide internships because they are investing in the future of their industry."

What do you think? Are unpaid internships worth it? Or are firms taking advantage of unpaid talent?
