Kodak's Infrared Film Creates a Hot Pink Congo

Irish photographer Richard Mosse shot these pictures in the Democratic Republic of Congo using a special infrared Kodak film developed by the US Military in the the 1940s to detect camouflage. Popular artists such as Jimi Hendrix and Frank Zappa used the film years later to create their psychedelic album covers.
