Not a Blimp; Not a Plane; Its the Gigantic Aeroscraft!

via. Gizmodo

Hold my dick this is sweet! Seriously. It's insane to me that within our lifetime the way we transport ourselves from point A to point B is going to completely change, like it or not. Gas engines are already on the way out, and with the invention of the Aeroscraft critics are already predicting flight travel is going to completely change forever.

This test unit is already completely constructed, all systems are fully functioning, and it is set to enter test flights within the next two months! If all goes well they will then begin construction of the first full scale Aeroscraft shortly after.

Believe it or not the test craft is only a fraction the size of the real deal. The full size monsters will literally be floating cruise ships, able to transport unfathomable amounts of people and material at any altitude, straight across the globe. Of course the military already believes this will revolutionize it's means of transportation in the very near future. As for civilians, they are predicting within the next 50-100 years these may be the standard in air travel if all goes as planned.

Instead of a cruise, imagine flying for a couple days on a trip across the globe. From the Grand Canyon to the Pyramids in Egypt, to the Mountains in Russia; no were is unreachable. Crazy groundbreaking stuff here, I'm excited to see how these test flights go!

  1. Of course this isn't the most comfortable way of traveling, but if it can save you money, you may want to try this.
