Big K.R.I.T. drops a nice illustrated visual for his newest song 4evaNaDay.
I have so much respect for the people/person who did the rotoscoping for this music video. The editors have to illustrate each frame individually...which is very time-consuming considering an average film is around 30 frames per second. Crazy!

Hello Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets finally reviled their new logo for the 2012-2013 NBA season. Apparently, Jay-Z aided in the design of the identity/logo. I like it! Very clean, timeless, and sinister...perfect for an NBA squad.

Via Vimeo, "Conventional wisdom tells us not to talk with our mouth full, but no one ever said anything about pieces of food rapping along to some of the best culinary lines in hip-hop history. This stop-motion film shows everything from pancakes and bacon to a green pepper with a platinum grill lip-synching along to classic lines from Biggie Smalls, Guru, Raekwon, Q-Tip, Action Bronson, Method Man and a whole lot more notable emcees. Poster Design
In one of my classes last week we were assigned a design challenge. We had to design a concert poster for a band called El Ten Eleven in 1 hour.
This is what I made! I quickly researched the band and found out they played single and double necked bass guitars. Therefore, I incorporated them to represent the bands name literately (10 and 11)...The single neck bass looks like the number 10 and the double necked bass looks like the number 11.
The rest of the design is simple. The poster is red to represent the venue (the Red Room). The texture represents the "dryness" of Tucson, AZ and "earthiness" of their instrumental music...same with the type. I chose to include a lot of space and minimize the size of the illustrative elements as a way to draw the viewer in for a closer inspection.
Also, notice the subtle black flourished on the edges of the poster for added texture and style.
What do you think? Comment!

I tried to recreate every level in the original Super Mario Brothers game, but on a single screen each. The result is a puzzle platformer where you need to combine reflexes, timing, and clever thinking to succeed.
To get the highest rating on a level, you need to take all coins and hit the top of the flag pole. Good luck!"

My Thoughts: MTV Music Videos
MTV should play music videos instead of commercials...just like how the Disney channel promotes their stuff during "commercial breaks."
"How would they get sponsorships/advertisers," you ask? With product placement within live performances and/or allowing advertisers to sponsor videos: "This video was brought to you by [insert company here]."
This way MTV could incorporate more music videos into their programming. After all, MTV does stand for MUSIC Television.
What do you think???

My Thoughts: Acting Single in a Relationship
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: every good
relationship is based on trust and communication. You have to be able to
absolutely, without a doubt, trust your partner in any situation and effectively communicate any time you have an issue or concern
within the relationship. Master these two things and I promise you your
relationship will be full of genuine smiles.
However, lately I’ve been noticing more and
more relationships crumble directly as a result of the absence of these things. In fact, I see more and more people in relationships that act single. I see people who betray the trust of their partner by flirting or talking to other people in a harmful manner. Or cutting off the communication lines
and not being 100% upfront with their partner about issues going on in their head. These are classic examples of things that I see people trying to get away
with while still dating someone. Why
is it?
I’ve never been a perfect boyfriend and I’ve made my share
of mistakes. But in my opinion, I have never faulted in these
areas in any relationship I've ever had. Why would I? If trust is not important to you and you find yourself
out at the club sexually dancing with other people or on Facebook messaging
strangers, then why are you even in the relationship to begin with? If you're not really putting in the effort to let your partner know how you’re really feeling then it is not worth it!
I am not sure if people get too attached to their partner or if they simply don’t care about their relationship, but in any case I don’t understand this behavior. If you don't care and you just want to do your thing without having anyone breathe down your neck then stay single! Don’t get in a relationship until you're ready to commit. Being in a mutual relationship comes with certain expectations and
if you can’t abide to them then it’s not the right thing for you. You should never feel tied down or controlled...but instead you should want to act differently because you've found
someone who is worth acting differently for.
What do you think? Why do people do this? Has this ever
happened to you? Tell us YOUR story by commenting below:

I was browsing Vimeo when I came across this music video for DEFTO by Jamal.
The video is about a young couple that steal a large sum of money from a rather evil looking man and use it to go on an irresponsible adventure across the world...only to experience a downward spiral when the money runs out. The video sort of reminds me of THIS.

Recess Opening Theme vs. The Great Escape by Elmer Bernstein
I was listening to Pandora Radio when I accidentally selected "James Bond Radio." The first song that played was The Great Escape by Elmer Bernstein. I let it play for a few seconds and it sounded very familiar to me. It reminded me of the opening theme song from Recess, a cartoon I used to watch as a kid.
I compared both side by side and they sound very similar! So similar, in fact, that I think Recess "borrowed" the score from The Great Escape, altered it a bit (using different instruments and arrangement), and called it their own!
What do you think? Are they similar? Take a listen to both below:

CordCruncher Headphones
We (Americans) are always on the go...We are either walking to class, going to the gym, or running to lunch in between work shifts. And now, more than ever, we are looking for ways to entertain ourselves during these "in between" moments. Now that the iPhone era is upon us, we find ourselves using our mobile devices to listen to music on the go.
BUT, as we all know, it is frustrating picking apart a tangled mess of headphone cord from your pocket. Which is why the CordCruncher was invented!
Via CordCruncher, "Outfitted with high-quality earbuds, the CordCruncher Headphone's elastic sleeve allows you to customize your listening experience, giving you complete control of your cord length. Adjust it anywhere from 16 inches to 3.5 feet. Finish up at the gym, crunch the earbuds, and toss them into your bag for the next use—all tangle-free, every single time!"
Nice! Now you can listen to your music and not worry about a tangled mess to deal with. Just throw the CordCruncher in your bag or wear it as a bracelet when your done!
Check it out HERE and pledge $20 to be the first on your block to own a pair (oh, the marketing power of "be the first" schemes)!
