This one definitely caught my eye; think of taking your next vacation and skipping the Marriott and instead resting your head in one of the worst prisons in the Netherlands?
Het Arrethuis closed in 2007 after over 150 years and just opened their doors after turning the former 105 former prison cells into 40 guest rooms.
I don't know about you, but I think that mentally I wouldn't feel right about sleeping there no matter how nice the rooms look. Just the thought of all the lives wasted behind those walls makes me cringe and I think it would lend to a melancholy experience. Maybe I'm wrong though it could be a fun experience as long as the rooms don't lock at night..
What do you think? Check the pictures and video and let us know:

Lego Bridge by MEGX
This is the kind of stuff we love! After over 4 weeks of painting this bridge in Wuppertal, Germany it finally got its affordable, unique makeover.
My question is why don't more cities do things like this? In my opinion, if governments let more artists run free they could really make average cities come to life! We see this already in area's around us like Birmingham and Ferndale on smaller scales like sculptors, but I'd like to see even more!
These are relatively cheap solutions that have a big impact! Not saying I'd want every city to be Lego Land, but if cities used more design and art and incorporated them into every day structures and roads I believe the world would be a more interesting and beautiful place.
Let's face it. Concrete is an eye sore.

How dope is this? Say you need to get from the forth floor to the first floor but don't want to deal with those pesky stairs. Well that's not problem at Technische University in Munich, Germany! It's as easy as sliding down one of the giant slides in the corridor!
Don't you wish you had a giant slide at your school?

...Imagined what it would feel like to walk inside a real cloud?
The Transsolar Cloudscape instillation makes it possible! Architect Testuo Kondo & engineering company Transsolar collaborated to create real clouds suspended in empty space inside a building. They did it by pumping three layers of air at different humidity and temperature levels to produce clouds. Awesome!

Detroit Red Wings Concept Stadium
Via: Yahoo! News
The Joe Louis Arena in Detroit has been the Red Wings home for more than 30 years.
Now fans are chiming in, requesting larger bathrooms, seats with cup holders and more aisle room, better parking, and the elimination of the dangerous steps that lead up to the Joe.
Alexander Pollock, an award-winning stadium designer with Ann Arbor's Abraham Kadushin Associates Architect Planners, is planning to submit a bid to the city to design a new stadium in the downtown area.
Here are some VERY early concept designs of what the stadium might look like:
