Earth by Erik Olson

I have always had a weakness for Original Artwork and Outer Space, and Erik Olson just brought those two things together in his masterpiece, "Earth."

Simple at a glance, but I think its his choices in brush strokes that did it for me on this one... the thicker paint coats he applied created a 3-D effect where the painting almost looks like its coming off the canvas.

Cool stuff, definitely something I'd love to hang in my home. Check out more of his work here:

It has come to our attention that Big Sean's recent mixtape art designed by IllRoots designer/owner Mike Waxx "borrowed" (more like copy and pasted) an illustration done by artist Michael Freimuth which was made back in 2009. 

I smell a lawsuit...

UPDATE:

After Michael Freimuth found out about the plagiarism, he posted these tweets and changed his avi to mimic Big Sean's "Finally Famous" album. Haha...uh oh...the battle has begun.
