Red Bull: El Cappy Customs [Video]

Our boy Eric Lowry from Royal Oak has been creating custom kicks since high school. He was recently featured on Red Bull's featured artist page!

Via Red Bull, "Detroit artist, skateboarder and sneakerhead Eric "El Cappy" Lowry has built a worldwide following out of his passion for custom kicks. His designs are exclusive one-offs that challenge the basic offerings currently on the market. See more of his work on his site.

El Cappy is also a guest judge for Red Bull Rubber & Sole, an innovative sneaker design contest happening in Detroit on November 30."

Very nice! Keep up the dope work.

Cool Kid: Jeremy Lin

Who is Jeremy Lin?

In just 4 NBA games, New York Knicks point gaurd Jeremy Lin has transformed into one of the most electric player in the league. This kid came out of nowhere...first out of Harvard University, then out of the Reno Bighorns, the Erie Bayhawks and finally into the NBA. In the last four games he has scored 25 points and seven assists, 28 and eight assists, 23 and ten assists, and most recently a massive 38 points and seven assists win versus the Lakers...yes the Kobe Bryant show, in explosive fashion. This kid can cut, dunk, cross defenders over, pass, and shoot. He is the total package. And to think, just a week ago he was sleeping on his brothers couch! Read more HERE.

Cool Kid: Kids These Days

Check out the indie hiphop/rock/jazz band Kids These Days from Chicago, IL. The band is composed of Liam, the main vocalist and guitar player, Vic the rapper, Macie the only female singer, Lane the bass player, a drummer, and a trio of horn players. With such a wide range of talent, their music is very authentic and pure with a twist of rock, jazz, and rap. Think Sublime meets Nas. What's gets me is that most of their members are only 17 years old! Kids These Days are proof Midwest music has been straight swelllllly lately.

Check out their latest video Summerscent below or hit up their YouTube Channel for more!

Cool Kid: Kreayshawn

Kreayshawn is a film maker, editor, singer, rapper, photographer, graphic designer, and overall dope artist. She smokes weed, edits videos for Lil B, hangs out with Soldier Boy and the guys from Odd Future, and is pretty odd herself. Did I mention she is a little white girl?

Kreayshawn is from Oakland, California and is a former highschool and film school dropout. But that hasn't stopped her from producing some of the trippiest and creative videos I've seen!

Seriously, be on the lookout for this girl! I predict she is going to be the next big thing out there. You're gonna want to fuck her and your girlfriend is going to want to be her. You heard it here first!

Check out her newest music video Gucci Gucci below:

NEW "Sky of Love" by Paris Jones

Just in time for valentines day, Paris Jones released his newest music video entitled "Sky of Love."

His video has made the rounds on MTV Brazil & Curated Magazine. The video is more of a macro-infused message on the romanticized images of love in popular culture. According to directors John Henry Baliton & John Bollozos (Clement & Co.), "We wanted to explore how we would experience such stimuli when we are forced to view such images from a distance, where we are able to see how they look in the context of the real world."

Be on the lookout for this guy in the future! He has some crazy intuitive ideas!!!

Cool Kid: Gordie Morton

Gordie Morton is a photographer/artist from the Metro Detroit area. He is currently studying photography at Central Michigan University. Additionally, Gordie is interested in graphic design. He states, "I'm pretty into graphic design. Sometimes Ill combine some random shit with some of my photographs to make some crazy weird image like the octopus tentacles hanging out of my mouth." Cool!

His eye for natural tones, unique angles, and diverse subject matter make for some beautiful photographs. Also, his use of props creates an emotional response within each and every viewer that is mysterious and undeniable at the same time.

So what makes Gordie tick?

"I really dig the instant gratification photography brings, and its a way to make the impossible look possible," said Morton, "Photography wise, Gage Young and Sam Doyle have some pretty sick shit, and music is also a huge inspiration."

Check out some of his dope ass photos below and make sure to check him out HERE or follow him on tumblr HERE!
