In the future, Theodore, played by Joaquin Phoenix, purchases an artificial intelligence system after a divorce with his wife. Upon meeting "Samantha" (voiced by Scarlett Johansson), the two begin an unlikely friendship that turns into romance. Featuring new music by Karen O and a score from Arcade Fire. Directed by Spike Jonze. Her opens in select theaters December 18, with a full release on January 10.

 

Kanye West + Anchorman 2

As an owner of a studio, I am almost obligated to subscribe to Rolling Stones annually and this months edition features a cover photo of Ron Burgundy with an in depth, six page interview with director Adam McKay and actor Will Ferrel, where they cover everything from improv to Kanye West.

Yes, Mr. West is making a cameo in the new movie that is being called, "The most anticipated sequel in comedy history". It's not the first time Ye and McKay have linked up though, they also shot a pilot for a Curb Your Enthusiasm- inspired HBO comedy some years ago. "Kanye was great. He really locked in. He asked me a ton of questions. He's super-interested in the process - he's a big fan of comedy. He took private lessons in beginner's improv with a friend of mine in Chicago a few years ago."

Interestingly, shooting for the film overlapped with production of Kanye's most recent studio album, Yeezus and apparently the cast and crew were some of the first to hear the works in progress, 

"He rapped us a new song, then rapped it again for hair and make-up - so awesome."

I am excited to see how my biggest inspiration does on screen in a film like this one. I believe in the mastermind, but it will be interesting to see how he handles acting in a comedy of this magnitude.

The Dark Knight Rises [Movie]

I highly recommend seeing The Dark Knight Rises in theaters now! In my opinion, it is the best of the Christopher Nolan series. On another note, our hearts go out to the victims of the Aurora community.

Thunderstruck [Movie Trailer] starring Kevin Durant

Looks like Oklahoma City Thunder's KD is getting his MJ on as he is set to star in the new movie "Thunderstruck." The film is about a high school basketball student who swaps talent with KD. It looks like a mix between Like Mike and Space Jam to me.

Something From Nothing: The Art of Rap is a new documentary (first seen on JakeYatesSpace) narrated by Ice-T. The film promises to take viewers on an intimate journey into the heart and soul of hip-hop with the legends of rap music.

Cruel Summer

The G.O.O.D. Music album compilation album is rumored to be titled Cruel Summer. The album will coincide with a film (with the same title) debuting at the Cannes Film Festival on May 23rd. According to sources, the film is set to feature Kid Cudi, comedian Aziz Ansari, and Kanye himself. Also, the film is premiering on a "7 screen experience."

Ted [Movie Trailer]

Ted tells the story of John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg) who still has his childhood teddy bear (Seth MacFarlane) as the result of a wish. The bear and John are still best friends and do the things best friends do such as smoke weed, joke around, & drink. It isn't until John meets a young lady when he must decide if its the girl or the bear.

We were funded by the PlayStation Store to make a series of videos using 'Immersive Imaging' which takes 3D projection mapping as its starting point, but gives the viewer a supercharged experience with the help of the PlayStation Move controller.

By attaching the PlayStation Move to the camera, we can track projections to screens in real time, enhancing the effect of spatial deformation and false perspective on the projections and allowing viewers to look round (virtual) corners, bend walls, create a hole in the wall, or remove the walls altogether to reveal vast expanses of virtual worlds."
