NEW: "Longest Road" by Morgan Page ft. Lissie (DJ KOJO REFIX) [Audio]
East Lansing, MI's own DJ Kojo is trying to make it on the scene with his newest remix, "Longest Road" by Morgan Page ft. Lissie.
Via Kojo, "The song is all original except for the acapella. I used synths from the nexus and sylnth vsts. The acapella is from Morgan Page ft. Lissie "Longest Road." I had actually never even heard the orignal until after I finished. I was just looking for decent acapellas to work with and came across this one on deejayportal and it ended up working out."

Child of the 90s
Did you grow up in the 90's? I did!
For those of you who grew up with me, this video is one helluva gem! The video is made by Internet Explorer for a new campaign targeting the "generation Y" demography. They are trying to appeal to kids of the 90's who remember the browser at its worst by claiming, "they grew up," just like us. Love it!

That is Just "Plane" Dangerous!
Can anyone explain to me what is going on here? Apparently somebody thought it was a good idea to film a man doing a wheelie on a mini 4-wheeler on the runway during an active plane takeoff. If that pilot didn't make that last minute maneuver, the cameraman would have been toast.
Who wants to take bets that this is going to be on Tosh.O?
Daaaaaaaaaymn: Allison Williams
Allison Williams, daughter of NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams, is my new favorite celebrity crush. In 2010 she gained some fame by performing a mashup of "Nature Boy" by Nat King Cole set to RJD2's "A Beautiful Mine", the theme song for the television series Mad Men. You can watch it HERE!

My Thoughts
I have been thinking a lot lately about the past, present, and future, especially my own, and I have been overwhelmed with feelings of fear, excitement, and the unknown.
I cannot predict my future, only prepare for it. Today I saw this quote and it really resonated with me...from now on I want to control my thoughts, not have my thoughts control me.
Be a master of your mind!

Which Highlight is Better? Basketball vs. Hockey
Over the weekend some pretty amazing things happened in sports.
In the first video, a fan heaved up a half-court shot during halftime of the Atlanta Hawks' Friday night matchup with the Utah Jazz. In a fit of luck, the ball ended up getting stuck the edge of the rim from half-court. What duh!?
In the second video, Finnish hockey player Jori Lehtera proves that less is more with his no shot goal in the Kontinental Hockey League All-Star game. The center, who was selected by the St Louis Blues in the 2008 draft, really knows how to score!
So which video do you think is more impressive? Comment!

NEW: "From the Bottom" by Dizz & LY [Music Video]
Today I received an email to review Detroit-based artists Dizz & LY's newest music video From the Bottom off their sophmore project, "Feast of Kings." After reviewing the video I was throughly impressed by their Rick Ross-esque style and Big Sean-like flow alongside their clean visuals. Detroit represent!
Short Bio:
"Dizz & LY are two up and coming hip-hop artists out of the city of Detroit and are representing the 8 man powerhouse known as, "High Royalty." The Detroit artists are starting the year off by dropping their sophomore project, "Feast of Kings" on January 15th...Their metaphor heavy lyricism is accompanied by an ever changing flow that indicates that they are definitely ready to "FEAST" on the current "KINGS" while they throw an abundance of bars with their High Royalty brethren, who are also featured on the tape with other up and coming Michigan artists."
Download "Feast of Kings" HERE.

Why Women Are Still Oppressed...
Nothing like laughing at the fact that you are subconsciously teaching your daughter that cleaning should be fun before she can stand on her own two feet...
Really though, I just saw this video and knew I had to post it. Cute baby.

All The Time - Mac Miller (ft. Ab-Soul)
Exactly what I expected from Miller on his newest track: typical chill, stoned out flow. I'm not too schooled on Ab-Soul, but his verse had an Andre vibe to it which I liked. You could argue that this track was "different" but the beat is the only thing that really did it for me. I am a fan of Miller but the whisper thing has been done already and I found myself surfing on the web about half way through the song instead of listening. Not one of my favorites from him but definitely blog-worthy.

Not a Blimp; Not a Plane; Its the Gigantic Aeroscraft!
via. Gizmodo
Hold my dick this is sweet! Seriously. It's insane to me that within our lifetime the way we transport ourselves from point A to point B is going to completely change, like it or not. Gas engines are already on the way out, and with the invention of the Aeroscraft critics are already predicting flight travel is going to completely change forever.
This test unit is already completely constructed, all systems are fully functioning, and it is set to enter test flights within the next two months! If all goes well they will then begin construction of the first full scale Aeroscraft shortly after.
Believe it or not the test craft is only a fraction the size of the real deal. The full size monsters will literally be floating cruise ships, able to transport unfathomable amounts of people and material at any altitude, straight across the globe. Of course the military already believes this will revolutionize it's means of transportation in the very near future. As for civilians, they are predicting within the next 50-100 years these may be the standard in air travel if all goes as planned.
Instead of a cruise, imagine flying for a couple days on a trip across the globe. From the Grand Canyon to the Pyramids in Egypt, to the Mountains in Russia; no were is unreachable. Crazy groundbreaking stuff here, I'm excited to see how these test flights go!

9th Wonder x Jay-Z - "Black American Gangster" [Mixtape]
#ohbudge 2013 starting out with a bang! Jay-Z's newest Mixtape "Black American Gangster" is pure hip-hop and I vibe with it. I love that there are still artists in the game that resist the pressures of Pop Radio and keep to their roots. 9th Wonder worked on Jay's "American Gangster" album [2007] and came back strong on this tape, focusing on a 70s vibe, featuring several artist of the era. There are a couple nice surprises on the features too (nice to hear Lil Wayne back on some real hip-hop ). Worth a Download in my opinion, what do you think?
