Check out this poster I did for the awareness of atmospheric radiation in Fukushima, Japan. (Also a little self promo)
"Below is a typographic field study I did for the awareness of atmospheric radiation in Fukushima, Japan. Fukushima is the location of the nuclear power-plant that started leaking radioactive material after the earthquake and tsunami on March 11, 2011. The purpose of the letter "AtR" (in red) is meant to replicate an element symbol on the periodic table. But "AtR" is something i made up to represent the words "atmospheric radiation." The smaller words inside of the "A" are symptoms of radiation poisoning. The words inside the "t" are all radioactive elements. Finally, the words inside the "R" are statistics on the incident at Fukushima (such as injuries, date, etc). The black numbers above the red type represent the max amount of radiation present at Fukushima (400 mSv) and the amount of radiation required to severely poison an individual (2000 mSv). Finally, I took a picture of some crumbled paper and added it to the background because I imagine this ad posted in Japan. But if a nuclear meltdown were to occur, the condition of this ad would be deteriorated and crumbled." - Mr.Matt
