Daaaaaaaaaaymn: Kate Upton

Kate Upton is blowing up in the supermodeling scene....Recently featured on the cover of the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Now she is appearing in the March 2012 issue of Esquire Magazine. I can't stand her seductive gaze (in a good way), those lips, and her, well, amazing chest.

THIS IS WHAT MEN LIKE LADIES! CURVES! CURVES! CURVES! GO AHEAD AND GET THAT MAYO ON YOUR SANDWICH. TREAT YASELF TO SEE YASELF!

Did I mention she's only 19. That's right....she was born in 1992...wow.

Statements like this are what's wrong with the world, Master G. She may be beautiful, but beauty comes in all shapes and sizes man. Not cool.

  2. Sorry you misunderstood me. This is Matt. I was explaining that curves are beautiful. And so are all women of all sizes. Stereotypical supermodels are usually stark, unhealthy, and skinny. Kate Upton is breaking the supermodel mold by showing that not all models have to be super skinny. In fact most men would choose Kate over a size zero woman.

    1. And Kate is like, what, a size 2? Size 4 at most? Big difference from size zero... Come on! Curves are completely beautiful, as is a naturally petite lady. But Kate Upton is certainly not the best example, or an example at all, to show what a "curvy" woman looks like. Beyonce is curvy, Kate Upton is just another hot ass chick flaunting her sexy, little, well-endowed body... and ain't nothing wrong with that! But to say she is curvy shows how warped perceptions on body image have become.

    2. ^ this bitch for real? Your argument just lost any value it might have had by using Beyonce as an example. Type "Beyonce in a Bikini" on Google images real fast and try to say her body is any bigger than a 4 at most (pre baby weight). Beyonce is curvy, in the same exact way that Kate Upton is curvy. The difference is that in Beyonce's profession it is more acceptable where as in Kate Upton's, who is famous for being a MODEL, it is very much so breaking the mold. No one is saying she's not skinny, but she is at a perfectly healthy weight, which is more sexy than the stereotypical body on a model.

    3. The first comment was from me. I am NOT a fat ass bitch.. I'm actually so skinny it is disgusting. i wish i could gain some weight.
The reply including beyonce was not from me. Some other anonymous person.

Matt - I hear what you're saying, but this girl is by no means outside the standard of beauty. MEN perpetuate WOMEN'S insecurities, was the simple point I was trying to make. Just watch yourself dude, dont disrespect women like that.

    4. recent studies have shown that women with bodies like kate upton is what men like! yes beauty comes in all shape and sizes but what is great is that you can like more then one thing. Ive been with a few women, all different shapes and sizes, and they each had differnt beautiful qualities that I liked about them.

Matt in no way was disrespecting women, he was simply just admiring the beauty of kate upton. if anything you're are being a little to senstive, but that's typical because youre a girl.

  3. "Matt in no way was disrespecting women, he was simply just admiring the beauty of kate upton." - Alex. This statement expresses my original intention for this post.

To me, this entire thread affirms that body image is a big problem in our society and that perception plays a small role in someone's understanding of a "beautiful" person (men vs. women). This being said, I agree with anonymous that sometimes I should watch what I say pertaining to women but I want to point out that most of the time we tend to exaggerate things to get our point across. I want to thank everyone for their comments and opinions.

I'd like to end this conversation with a quote from American poet Henry David Thoreau, "The perception of beauty is a moral test." Very true.
